Elections
The BWBL Council consists of five council members and the league commissioner. As per a vote by Council, the commissioner serves a continuous term until they choose to step down or need to step down for personal reasons. Terms for other BWBL Council members are two years in length, with no limit to the number of terms or consecutive terms that can be served. Open nominations for Council are made at the conclusion of every even-year season (ex. 2020) by Council, captains, or the person and is advertised on the website and publicly on social media. Election is then done by the captains of the league. The top five vote getters are awarded the position.
In the event that a Council member does not complete their term due to choice or personal reasons, nominations are made by current Council, captains, or the person. This is not advertised on the website or publicly on social media. The top vote getter is awarded the position until the completion of the term.
